Sherri Madden reports: "A Roman Family Fun Day was planned for Jackson Park, a transitional housing program in Charlotte. A Roman feast was prepared, and then the children (and parents) were able to go on a Roman adventure in which they tried on togae and stolae, made lyres, created mosaics, played knucklebones, and made dormice out of marshmallows and chocolate kisses. It was lots of work – my students spent weeks preparing! All the residents had a fantastic time and were able to learn about Roman times though, so it was all worth it!"
