General submissions

Contributors to The Classical Journal are asked to observe the following requirements:

• Electronic submission is preferred. Alternatively, you may submit three hard copies of the manuscript, which will normally not be returned. Final versions of all papers must be submitted in electronic form.
• The manuscript should be accompanied by a short (approximately 50-word) abstract of the argument.
• Manuscripts must be entirely type-written, double-spaced and with generous margins.
• Please assemble notes, double-spaced and in the same font as the main text, at the end of the manuscript.
• For matters of style (bibliography, punctuation, etc.), consult the most recent issues. For abbreviations, follow LSJ (for Greek authors), the OLD (for Latin authors), and L'Annee Philologique (for journals).
• Authors should withhold all indications of their identities from their manuscripts. Acknowledgments and the like may be added after a paper has been accepted.
