We are offering forms for the Grant, Semple, and Benario awards for downloading in the pdf format. After you have downloaded a form, you can fill it out on your computer, print it out, then mail it to the address on the form.To take advantage of this option, follow these instructions:

1. Verify that you have a copy of the free Acrobat Reader software from Adobe. If you do not have it, you can download it from Adobe's web site.
2. Download the form.
3. Open the form using Acrobat Reader.
4. Use your mouse or the tab key to move around the document and fill in the appropriate fields.
5. Print the form immediately after you have completed it. If you close the document, you will lose all of your work, so be certain that you have filled out the form accurately and completely.

Tips For Completing The Award Form

1. Make sure to contact the CAMWS Administrative Assistant as soon as you decide to apply. This will allow for confirmation of your membership in CAMWS and give time for you to join, if you are not a member.
2. Give your letter writers a MINIMUM of a month's notice (that probably means contacting them in early December, depending on the end of your Fall semester) and make sure that they know the deadline is a RECEIPT deadline. It is even worth asking them to mail the letter by mid-January, especially if you are contacting them with plenty of advanced notice. You should make sure your letter writers receive the penultimate, if not the final, draft of your statement so that they can use the information in their letters.
3. Make sure your statement clearly addresses why you are seeking this award and what this summer study will add to your academic preparation. Be as specific as possible. Show that you know what these programs require and the opportunities they offer. Remember that everyone can say that they need to see the Greek/Roman world in person. What makes your request the better one?
4. Give someone (your advisor, your letter writers) your application to look over before you send it off. Ask them both to proofread and to read the prose section for clarity.
5. Order your transcripts as soon as your Fall grades are posted.
6. Put the form in an envelope and mail it to the following address:
