CPL

The Roman festival of the Caristia was a time to meet with family over the ancient equivalent of a pot-luck dinner.  It was a time to share the year's experiences and reaffirm fellowship.

This year CPL would like to help you bring your classroom "family" together for a gathering.  Apply for a "Caristia" grant, and CPL will send you $50 to spend on cookies and lemonade, posters, prizes, or whatever you need (and probably spend your own money on) for your celebration.

All you need to do to apply is to fill out the application (online or downloaded pdf) and send it on to your VP, who will send it on to me.  In the block for describing the activity, simply put "Caristia Grant".

Once you receive the money, we will ask only that you do two things for us: 1) indicate as appropriate that the occasion received support from CAMWS, and 2) have someone take a digital photograph of your gathering, which you will then send to webmaster@camws.org, and Sam Huskey will put it up on our Caristia page.

If you don't have a digital camera, use a regular camera, and send the picture to me. I'll have it scanned in for the Caristia page.

We want as many CAMWS members as possible to take advantage of this grant.  It will be a wonderful way for CAMWS to help you, and once your photographs are up on the webpage, it is a way for all of us and and our students to get to know each other.

Apply today!!!
